pH Factor and Disease

POTENTIALITY to HYDROGEN is the measurement of the equilibrium of acid and base in the body. A higher pH reading in a fluid indicates that the fluid is more alkaline and oxygen-laden. A lower pH reading indicates the fluid is more acidic or deprived of oxygen. The pH range is from 0 to 14, with 7.0 being neutral. Readings above 7.0 indicate alkalinity, readings below 7.0 are considered acidic. Humans are born with body fluids in a slightly alkaline state or high pH. And then, from that state our tissues and fluids absorb food, beverages, medicine, pollutants and experience stress daily, turning from alkaline to acidic. As soon as the pH level of a body’s fluids and tissues falls to a 6.9 or lower, the body starts to become prone to viral infections like colds, cough and flu.
